Overview: John Hall can still remember the first book he ever read. It was Harry The Dirty Dog. Since that day, he’s always loved reading. When he was in fifth grade, he decided he was going to be a writer when he grew up and wrote his first novel, The Mystery of the Leopard’s Eyes (unfortunately, it was never published and to this day, still sits in his desk drawer). But years later he did become a published author. John grew up in Brooklyn, with a younger brother and twenty-one cousins (yes, 21!), but now lives in New York City.
Genre: Fiction; Mystery/Thriller

Sherlock Holmes and the Boulevard Assassin
What starts as a series of polite and ordinary questions quickly transforms into a nightmare when the doorman of Banque de France, Auguste Vauban, discloses too much information concerning the security measures of the building to an average customer.

The bank is robbed by this mysterious stranger and his team led by the formidable James Moriarty. Holmes and Watson are summoned at once to catch the criminal but a more serious event changes their course – the president of France has been assassinated! Disguising themselves as two Frenchmen, the duo journey overseas to the crime scene where they encounter a bizarre group of detectives and investigators.

With their help, Holmes and Watson identify the culprits as dangerous anarchists whose ultimate goal is to outsmart each other and receive the biggest bonus from their leader, Monsieur Constantine. In an attempt to expose the anarchists, the duo is captured and temporarily held hostage by an unknown individual who appears to be Monsieur Constantine himself. He promises to release them with the only condition being that they work for him dutifully and accomplish every task that is assigned to them.

With no other options at hand, Holmes and Watson are obliged to side with and work for the most menacing criminals in Paris…Can the duo escape from the terrible situation? Will they be able to stop the rebels before they kill again?

Sherlock Holmes At the Raffles Hotel
London, 1905. After the death of his second wife, and with patient numbers falling, Doctor Watson is considering retirement. That is, until he gets an urgent telegram from Martha, the housekeeper of an old friend. Sherlock Holmes is ill. Watson must make his way o his cottage in the village of Fullworth as soon as possible. But he arrives to find Holmes alive and well, if a little melancholy. The telegram was a clever ploy by Martha to return Holmes to his former vigour.

In the village, Arshak Sarkies suggests a holiday for the pair as his guests at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore – it should be just what the doctor ordered. But knowing Holmes, they will only be able to tempt him abroad with the promise of one last case…When they finally arrive at the hotel, it seems that Watson’s scheme has come true after all. The wealthy wife of a hotel resident, Mr Derek Masterton, has been found dead in her apartment, her ‘Singapore Sugarplum’ sweets laced with arsenic.

With her money protected by a will, who would have the motive to kill Mrs Masterton? How could they have gotten so close, and have predicted her every move? And what of the strange goings-on reported by the butler? Thrown back into the investigating game, Holmes and Watson must use all their deductive powers to solve the case of the poisoned sugarplums.
