Definitely Not Paid Enough For This (The Tribulations of Ross Young, Supernat PA #1)
“Company policy forbids me from accepting power from customers in exchange for any product on the shelves, my blood, my soul, or my firstborn child…”
When Ross started working night shift at a lonely gas station in Salem, he expected quiet nights. Instead, he found himself face to face—quite literally—with the supernatural. But really, the whimpering vampire nursing a hangover wasn’t exactly threatening (although Ross is pretty sure he shouldn’t have given that energy drink to a goblin…).
As Ross proves he is not easily shaken, more and more creatures of the night come calling, including the clanmaster himself. Ross isn’t sure what to think about Glenn, but the handsome vampire has made it clear what he thinks of Ross—and with that attention comes an offer he’s not sure he wants.
At least, until a little fire sprite convinces him otherwise, because he’s definitely not paid enough for this.
Tags: Poor put upon retail workers, Ross didn’t deserve this, Fate is cruel, so am I, sexy vampires, Australian wizards, supernats love energy drinks for some reason, the trauma of changing jobs, crack, so much crack, not a single degree of chill from Glenn where Ross is concerned, slow burn, only one gas station was harmed in the making of this story
Common Sense, Where Art Thou? (The Tribulations of Ross Young, Supernat PA #2)
“How about we just negotiate hazard pay here and now?”
Ross isn’t one for seizing the day, he prefers poking at it with a stick. So, with the gas station in ashes, he makes the only logical choice: agree to an interview with Glenn to be his PA.
The welcome party that starts before he’s even accepted the job is a little worrying, but rather sweet. Getting to meet all the supernats in the clan? Enlightening and fun. Taking care of those drunk supernats who like to throw glassware, attempt swimming in the pool, and play drinking games with dwarven mead? Hazard pay just became a thing.
