The Raven Ladies by Cassandra Duffy (1~3)
Requirements: ePub, Mobi or PDF Reader, 11.3 mb
Overview: Cassandra Duffy spent most of her childhood being precocious, which stopped being entertaining or impressive when she grew into an adult, at which point she had to start being precious. After being an outcast child prodigy it was no surprise when she graduated from one of the many fine University of California schools a year early to follow her girlfriend in a cross country move. She writes a free-lance sex advice column found in various lesbian magazines and dating websites. Her short story collections and novels can be found on her website, Amazon.com, or Barnes & Noble. Two of her greatest prides are being a true California girl and author of some truly naughty things. She is a dutiful partially-Asian daughter who is beloved by her fairly traditional Korean father who thinks having a gay daughter is just fine as long as she keeps playing coed flag football. She is a stereotypical younger sister, and an adoring aunt of a hilarious little boy. Being a modern techno-freak, gamer-girl, she spent most of her childhood dreaming of being a video game designer, but changed her mind and brought her dreams of world building and story-weaving to writing unique romance novels. Cassandra is a gleefully monogamous girlfriend to an earthbound goddess who was once her high school bully, but has done a magnificent job of making up for all the school girl nastiness ever since. When she isn’t being an avid fang girl (vampire fan girl) or tormenting people in online gaming, she lives and writes in Winter Park, Florida with her partner and soul mate Nichole and their two cats: Dragon and Josephine.

1. The Gunfighter and The Gear-Head
An apocalyptic alien invasion set humanity on the edge of extermination. Unable to match technology with the invaders, humanity bet their existence on their physical strength. In a desperate last stand by the world’s greatest scientists, the cataclysm electromagnetic pulse wiped out technology on the planet, stranding the aliens on earth, locking them in the cage with the beasts of humanity that remained. Using pre-industrial weapons of war, the surviving humans fought back…
Six years later, Gieo, the self-proclaimed last pilot on earth, was shot down yet again. She finds herself in the unwelcoming post apocalyptic Old West town of Tombstone as the guest of a beautiful gunfighter; the alien huntress and gunslinger Fiona has a turbulent history to match her violent existence that both intrigues and frightens Gieo. Their budding romance hits an immediate snag when Fiona’s mysterious past finally catches up with her, bringing with it old flames, hot grudges, and a rekindling of the war with the aliens that had cooled to a stalemate.
Sky-captain Gieo and her fleet of steam-powered dirigibles are humanity’s best chance to turn the tide of war against the alien invaders, but only if Fiona can protect her from blind cultists, jealous ex-girlfriends, and a town of apocalypse cowboys with suspect sanity.

2. The Steam-Powered Sniper in the City of Broken Bridges
Claudia Marceau, sniper extraordinaire and notorious flirt, has grown bored with Tombstone and the Lazy Ravens as a whole. With her unrequited crush on the gunfighter Fiona Bishop growing ever more impossible after the inclusion of Gieo into the mix, she has found temporary comfort in the arms of the White Queen Veronica. But what she really wants is out—out of Tombstone, out of the Ravens, out of the range of the romance she can’t have. On the tumultuous last night, with Tombstone burning down around her, she makes her escape into the desert night to seek out the father she is certain still lives and the freedom she craves.
Her years of experience as a scout and survivor serve her well on a tremendous journey through the post apocalyptic wasteland where she takes counsel from a scorched Owl, slays a rising caste of Slark, and survives an encounter with an army of mutants that forever changes her and the fortunes of humanity.
When she arrives in the City of Broken Bridges that arose from the ashes of San Francisco, she finds her father not only lives, but has become a powerful warlord charged with protecting the most technologically advanced city in human history.
The maudlin French Canadian heroine becomes embroiled in a love tangle with a British sailor, a Scottish footballer, and the world’s last donut shop girl. In a landscape filled with man-eating trees, giant god-like robots, and vile mutants, Claudia strives to find a moment’s peace before the Lazy Ravens make their push to the west coast and claim a city with more secrets than people.

3. The Gunfighter’s Gambit
The War of Retribution against the city of Juarez has gone well through the autumn and winter months and with spring nearing the conflict between the two mafia cultures is coming to a close. Fiona, at the head of a fresh army of Ravens provided by the new White Queen Alondra, has captured or killed the fleeing remnants of the Juarez invaders responsible for the massacre at Tombstone. Supported by Gieo and her fledgling air force of modified World War II planes, Fiona is set to end the War of Retribution with a decisive victory over the last bastion of the Juarez drug cartel. Before the final blow can be struck, the Slark make their return to the conflict, restored to their former glory and strength, using the terrible weapons of invasion everyone thought destroyed.
After a disastrous battle, Fiona’s army is on the verge of breaking and Gieo has fallen into the hands of the marauder warlord General Mackenzie. Fiona must leave the Ravens to find her captured beloved, riding out into the desert with her trusty scout and sidekick, Maude, to seek help from the revived Apache Nation, the spirit world, and Gieo’s robot companion, Ramen, who is discovered to be of sinister origins.
Riding through the post-apocalyptic world of West Durango, Fiona infiltrates Mackenzie’s marauders only to find the Ravens have once again lied to her. Fiona’s rescue might end in wedding bells and children or betrayal and massacre—it seems destined for bloodshed either way.
