Overview: Tobey Alexander is the name I use to write under. My books come from a desire to create a world into which I can escape, when writing, but others can escape to by reading. Writing has always been in the background even through College, University and eventually through my career, which is unrelated to my persona as an author. My motivation to publish my stories came from the fact my own young children have enjoyed the stories I have told them over the years and I wanted to be able to say “this is what you can do if you believe in yourself.” There is a story inside everyone and the fact my main series, The Magdon Series, is born from a story I made up for my middle son makes them all the more personal and less commercial.

1. Into The Dark
Gabe leads an ordinary life with his wife and three children. After a spell of recovery following an unfortunate accident everything is about to change for Gabe and his family. Unbeknownst to Gabe his family carries with it a legacy that has sat forgotten for decades. One morning Gabe’s routine is interrupted by a special delivery containing the battered journal of his Great-Grandfather Archy.
Until now the only legacy of Archy had been one of madness and mockery. Cast aside as an old man obsessed with fictitious monsters and secret cults the journal brings with it a grave warning. Prepared to dismiss the stories scribbled on the pages Gabe soon finds there are some who would believe the madness.
Without warning Gabe and his family are thrust into an epic adventure to rediscover the lost legacy of their ancestor. A midnight invasion by the deceptive and devout followers of the mythical Magdon known as The Veks leaves Gabe and his children with an impossible choice. If Gabe is to protect his family, he must betray the legacy of Archy and retrieve a collection of lost artifacts that will allow the Magdon to be reborn upon the earth.

Gabe’s life has been turned upside down since the events of from the Dark Having watched his family fall apart Gabe is very much a broken man. Lost and alone he is haunted by his past and the curse of his Great Grandfather. Having severed his ties to the mysterious world of The Magdon, the forgotten monster of the shadows he is trying to move on with his life.
Fate, however, has other plans as a letter arrives that drags Gabe back into the twisted world of monsters and secret societies. Filled with revelations, intrigue and danger join Gabe and his daughter as they form new relationships to finally put an end to the Magdon. Not all is as it seems and they must draw from those who offer to help them along their treacherous journey.
Their journey will be far tougher as the decisions of their previous encounter haunt them at every turn. The Veks remain adamant about resurrecting the fearsome beast only now they have a new ally that threatens to rip the ground from underneath Gabe and what is left of his family.
