I’ve been a voracious reader of horror, fantasy, and science fiction my entire life, but I didn’t take the plunge into writing my own stories until recently. I’ve done a lot of stuff and seen a lot of things along the way. I’ve worked in hotels, managed grocery stores, dabbled in carpentry miserably, created a series of twisted comic books, and contributed political cartoons to a handful of newspapers. Maybe I needed to live life some to get where I am now – happily writing books to scare people.

#1 – Ambition
During an age of dwindling energy resources and greedy corporate expansion, Earth receives a warning from a not too distant star system: We are aware of your existence. We will end you.
The colossal mining vessel Ambition undergoes a militarized refit and is sent to confront the alien threat of Pegasi 51. Catastrophic events along the way stretch a seventy year voyage into a seven century odyssey. All communication to and from home has been severed, and the civilization waiting ahead has remained ominously silent.
Captain Ly Sulafat, Ambition’s 30th – and likely last – commander, leads this final generation of weary travelers into a hostile star system, ill-prepared, and far too inexperienced to confront what awaits them.
The seven hundred year journey has ended. Time for war.
#2 – Retribution
Ambition is headed back to Earth after seven hundred years. She is beaten and battered, her surviving crew still reeling from the loss of their captain, and the deaths of thousands in a war no one wanted or understood. Along the way, they intercept the warship Retribution. Commander Alexander Edmund and his renegade crew are traveling in the opposite direction, towards the Hunn-ephei home world, on an unsanctioned mission none of them expect to survive.
On Alderamin 4, Ly Sulafat and a handful of his people are prisoners of war at the very center of the threat. But Sulafat has even deeper problems. The ghosts of Ambition’s past have caught up with its former captain, and one of them has started speaking to him.
The long haul home is about to get longer, a whole lot deadlier, and the fate of humanity hangs on the actions of brave men and women now labelled as criminals.
