The Truth and the Lies 1
A mysterious debt of honour saves TV news reporter Jon King from almost certain death at the hands of an Islamic terrorist group – a debt owed to his father, a captain in the French Foreign Legion named Koenig.
Raised as an orphan, Jon never knew his true parents.
Now, he is determined to discover the truth about Koenig, even if it means embarking on the most lethal news story of his career.
He travels to France to stay with his lover Regine and with her help sets to work on his investigation.
She introduces him to Admiral Bonnard, a shady figure in French counter-intelligence.
Bonnard tells them that Koenig was a political hit-man, wanted for desertion, cowardice. And that he could have been a political assassin, killed in an attempt on de Gaulle’s life in 1962.
King’s instinct for truth tells him that this is a lie, and his search for the truth reveals that Bonnard has plenty to hide…
When a man who knew Koenig is brutally tortured and killed, it seems the murderous game in which Jon’s father was a player years before is still fought.

The Eagle and the Snake 2
Raoul Duvalier is a captain in the Foreign Legion.
A fit, tough and confident soldier.
The legion’s motto is Legio Patria Nostra: The Legion is Our Country.
And yet although they fight and die for France, every few years the government tries to abolish the Legion because politicians are afraid of it.
When he parachutes straight into the midst of the Vietnam War, Raoul encounters hellish conditions.
In the epic battle at Dien Bien Phu, Duvalier is tortured at the hands of the Viets, a POW in a jungle prison camp. He is left at the mercy of the sadistic Commissar Minh and forced to tell his captors where they hid their precious gold.
Years later, Raoul meets with his old legion friend Koenig, who is now a criminal on the run, betrayed on a mission in Algeria and Raoul is still a cripple.
He invites him on a mission to find the lost gold, revealing he only gave the whereabouts of half of it to his captors.
The Honour and the Glory 3
Basic training in the Foreign Legion is brutally tough.
Its aim is to forge bonds of loyalty that stand the test of modern combat and last a lifetime.
Fifteen years after he took off his white kepi for the last time, Peter Bergman is a No Release prisoner in a Gulag camp that officially no longer exists.
The man he blames for putting him there is his old Legion comrade, Jack Roscoe.
They were best friends, until Bergman slept with Vanessa, igniting Roscoe’s jealously to the point that he deliberately refuses to deliver a message to the hotel, knowing they are there together.
