Her knowledge to things that are yet to happen invite the attention of criminals who will stop at nothing to prevent her interfering in their plans. The story follows Mia as she adjusts to a new reality and tries to work out how best to use it to improve her chances. One of her new friends is badly scarred Thomas whose reserve and self-reliance intrigue and invite Mia to try to penetrate his reluctance to believe that women can find him appealing . She learns to rely on his strength and falls in love with him.
But serious danger stalks her and she is kidnapped and imprisoned with only her own wits to aid her escape.
