Overview: An alien female has been visiting our world from the time she was a little girl. Now, as a research scientist, she is charged with making a decision as to whether or not to make contact. Her physical appearance is very similar to that of a human female. Because of her world’s much heavier gravity and heavier atmosphere, there are differences. She’s much stronger than the average human male. Her ship has the capacity to move through both time and space. She has a detailed knowledge of human history. To carry out her current mission she applies for a job as a research assistant at a large law firm. They’re impressed with her knowledge of corporate law and cases dating back about fifty years. She gets the job. Her first morning on the job, she’s assigned to work with a paralegal named Lawrence Casey. She’s going by the name, Margaret O’Donnell. He’s trying to finish up with what he’s working on in order to start a two-week vacation. She accomplishes in one afternoon, what should have taken three days. He’s impressed and invites her to lunch the next day. Their lunch is interrupted when she has to leave the table to take a communication from her world. An old enemy of her father has made an attempt on her family. She’s in danger of being picked up by factions hired by her father’s enemy. There is an encounter with bounty hunters in the company garage. Lawrence manages to help her get away. She has to confide in him and then convince him she isn’t crazy. He gets her back to her ship just ahead of the bounty hunters. She’s forced to take him on board to prevent his death. Her ship is damaged as they escape through a portal that folds time and they wind up marooned in Wyoming, the year is eighteen-seventy five. While waiting for her people to rescue them, they get caught up in the lives of several people in the past. They’re forced into situations that could endanger Lawrence’s existence by changing the future of his world. During the course of the adventure Margaret and Lawrence develop feelings for one another. This brings about a whole different set of problems, one of which is, she mates for life, period. They are forced into several life threatening situations, brought about by their involvement with the past and the bounty hunters sent to get her.
