The Best Horror Stories Series by Karl Edward Wagner (#1-2)
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 1 mb
Overview: Karl Edward Wagner (12 December 1945 – 13 October 1994) was an American writer, editor and publisher of horror, science fiction, and heroic fantasy, who was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and originally trained as a psychiatrist. His disillusionment with the medical profession can be seen in the stories "The Fourth Seal" and "Into Whose Hands". He described his world view as nihilistic, anarchistic and absurdist, and claimed, not entirely seriously, to be related to "an opera composer named Richard". Wagner also admired the cinema of Sam Peckinpah, stating "I worship the film The Wild Bunch".
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy /Horror

1. Where the Summer Ends
The first volume of Karl Edward Wagner’s horror fiction collects the title story, the classic Lovecraftian "Sticks," "The Fourth Seal," "Beyond Any Measure," and other classic horror tales by a unique Southern voice in American fiction. Lavishly designed and illustrated, Wagner’s psychological portrayals and ingenious use of Southern landscape make this publication an event.

2. Walk on the Wild Side
The second volume of Karl Edward Wagner’s horror fiction collects much of his shorter and painfully explicit later work, including such stories as "Little Lessons in Gardening," "Slug," "Prince of the Punks," "More Sinned Against" and other disturbing tales by an acknowledged master of the genre with an acidic and wry sense of humor.
