Dick Gipson is a deadbeat. Just 31 years of age, he’s a full-blown alcoholic, and he’s in the process of screwing up his second marriage. Just when he thinks his love life can’t get any worse, his 15 year old niece sits him down and tells him that she’s madly in love with him.
With nothing left to lose, and his second marriage now over, Dick does what he does best. He pushes everyone away and tries to drown his sorrows in excessive amounts of alcohol. Once he finally realizes that he can’t drink away his plethora of personal demons however, Dick finally learns to love himself. Along the road to recovery, he also finds out that the love he was looking for has been waiting for him the entire time.
Now, Dick must decide if he’s going to fight for the love he deserves, or if he is going to forgo his own happiness in order to keep the peace. No matter which path he chooses, he doesn’t have a lot of time to make a decision. Someone is busy working against him behind the scenes, and they will commit the ultimate sin in order to make sure that he suffers for his behavior one final time.
