The puppet master uses his abilities to drive them back and joins with his crew in finding a way to control the natives to build their power to keep them safe. The blue skinned Ummair are cut off from their homes, but they continue to lust for power. With their advanced technology and devious minds, their single damaged ship and small crew might be able to take over the world despite their lack of numbers if everything works their way.
Aeyraline, a scout for the Eyralith a race of beings referred to as elves by their human allies, watches the Ummair battle and uses her magic to help her people learn about the local races. Watching the technomancer leave the ship with his puppets, the scout does what she can to check the Ummair until a new wrinkle arrives in the form of nine fiery trails through the night sky.
The sight frightens the natives, but they have no idea what danger they truly face as the vanguard of the Ourian Alliance, the giant Okran arrive.
How will Aeyraline and the local races deal with these threats? Can this hidden planet survive the arrival of seven races from the space age? More importantly does this planet harbor defenses and secrets that even these new arrivals will have to respect or even fear?
