Stage 3 series by Ken Stark (#1, #3, #4 & Short Story)
Requirements: ePUB Reader, 2.40 Mb
Overview: Ken was born in Saskatchewan, but has called Vancouver home for most of his life. He was raised on a steady diet of science fiction and disaster movies, so it seems right that his first published book series be about the zombie apocalypse. In his spare time, Ken tries to paint like Bob Ross and play poker like Doyle Brunson, but results suggest that he might have got it all backwards.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror > Zombie Apocalypse
Stage 3 (Book 1)
Blindness is just the beginning. Once the virus strips away everything remotely human, all that’s left is a mindless savage predator. Hank Mason thought he had nothing left to lose, but now that he is all that stands between a young girl and a gruesome fate, he’s sworn to protect her with his very life. But the virus isn’t done yet. A new, deadlier terror is slowly emerging, and even as Mason and Mackenzie battle their way from one horror to the next in a desperate flight through a world gone mad, they both know that their time is running out. The girl is already blind, and things are about to get a whole lot worse.
Stage 3: Bravo (Book 3)
The world went blind. Then it went mad. But the Virus has one more trick up its sleeve. Hank Mason had nothing left to lose. But then came Mackenzie. And then came Sarah. And then came the others. Though these seven souls had somehow survived the first days of the epidemic, every minute of life in this new world came at a price. Thrown into a relentless battle against a population turned feral on one side, and desperate men willing to do anything to stay alive on the other, the only question remaining was. How much were they were willing to pay to survive? Now, those precious few are in a desperate race to save one more lost soul, and time is running out. The clock started ticking the moment they pulled into that forgotten little corner of a world gone insane. Every second brings them closer to death. They’ll have to find a way out…or die trying.
Billy, the Kid (Short Story)
BILLY BARELY ESCAPED WITH HIS LIFE ONCE HIS PARENTS CHANGED. It was like what they’d been saying on TV before the power went out. People turning into monsters. Monsters attacking and killing, and even eating other people. Locked away in his bedroom, he can see it all playing out down on the street below. But that’s not all he can see. There’s a girl in the apartment across the way. Juliet. She’s safe enough for now, but after two days without water, time is almost up for both of them. For them to stand any chance at all, he’ll have to get past his parents. Then he’ll have to get across a street filled with monsters and rescue Juliet. And somehow, he’ll have to do it without getting himself killed and eaten first. But he’ll do it. He’ll do it, or his name isn’t Billy, the Kid.
Stage 3: Charlie (Book 4)
What kind of man do you have to be to survive an apocalypse? WAVERLY MANOR WAS A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE WENT TO DIE.
After the end, it became the last bastion of life in a dead city.
For Charlie, those walls of brick and mortar had always provided sanctuary against a world he feared, even before the dead started to rise. When other survivors showed up on Waverley’s doorstep, another man might have been thrilled to know that he was not the last living soul on Earth. But not Charlie.
The monsters trying to batter down the walls were frightening enough. The thought of the kind of men who could survive among the living dead was the stuff of nightmares.
THE ONLY THING HANK MASON EVER FEARED WAS LOSING THE FRIENDS WHO HAD BECOME HIS FAMILY. Now, with no supplies left and the dearest member of that family fighting for her life, the man he was trying to become is rapidly turning back into the man he used to be. To him, Charlie is a weakling and a coward. With a new threat rising out of the swarms, he knows it will take every ounce of strength and courage they can muster to escape the city of the dead.
SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS CHANGING THE LIVING DEAD THINGS. Altering their behavior. Improving their ability to hunt. Either what they were witnessing was Darwinism at work, or something deadlier was coming their way. Something so deadly… that it just might mean the end for the last of mankind.
