This is an unofficial omnibus ebook made from digital backups of the printversions of Polar City Blues (2nd ed. by Grafton 1992) and Polar City Nightmares (2nd ed. by Gollancz 2001), both GB English spelling. While the first is currently (as of January 2015) available as ebook, the latter never was. I’ve been handediting both digital books carefully to preserve the original content but also to provide most readability possible for my own enjoyment. Due to this, the authors and the publisher are not responsible for any possible inconsistencies, spelling errors and differences to the original printed books.

Polar City Blues (#1) When a suspected alien spy from the Confederation Embassy is found murdered, a potentially explosive political situation faces Police Chief Bates. And when talented psychic Mulligan is brought to the scene to pick up echoes of the event, what he experiences sends him into amnesiac shock. Meanwhile, murders continue unabated and a major crisis threatens to destabilise the Republic…

Polar City Nightmares (#2) A science fiction mystery with a political twist. The investigation of blackmailing a famous baseball pitcher and murder on two planets uncovers an interstellar plot that jeopardizes the political balance between the human dominated Republic and the two major alien dominated governments. Chief Bates, Mulligan and Lacey face once more the deep murky waters of politics, intrigues and looming interstellar war.
