Overview: Magnus was born in Iceland. His parents passed at a young age, in a boating accident near Greenland, so Magnus lived alone between the ages of nine and sixteen in a cottage on the edge of a mountain. Beyond tending to the sheep and cultivating juniper, Magnus had little to do, so he consumed literature. He taught himself several languages as he read everything from Tolstoy to Nora Roberts. Now, he primarily writes in English.

Lunar Alpha
When I went out target shooting in the woods, I wasn’t expecting to be abducted by a race of alien bunny girls from another star system.

They weren’t there for me; they didn’t even know there was intelligent life on Earth. They were just conducting some battle drills in the forest and they saw me practicing my shot for my family’s annual hunting trip.

Now, short a good marksman, they want me to help to defend their ‘portal’ on Alpha Centauri from a race of aggressive robot A.I. killers, the very race that conquered their home star and the dozen stars they retreated to after each defeat. If the robots take Alpha Centauri, Sol—Earth’s star—is next.

I don’t think my friends and family would appreciate being enslaved by deadly alien robots…

After fifteen years of war, there are hardly any men left in their race and the girls are desperate to repopulate. I definitely don’t mind lending a helping hand there. Let’s just say that’s something I’m good at. But surviving the ‘beacon battles’—5v5 skirmishes—on other planets and moons… that’s not quite so simple.

Lunar Alpha 2: Fight Night
A few weeks ago, I was found by the Lagolians, a race of bunny girls from another star-system. I helped them defend their race against the Nekrol, deadly A.I. robots. We even took back one of the portals the Lagolians previously lost to the Nekrol.

Everything was going great. Hell, it was even kind of fun…

But now the Lagolians want me playing ‘support’ in the 5v5 skirmish battles. I’ve gone from being a hero sniper, landing sick head shots, to a glorified field mechanic, regenerating mech shields from the far end of the battlefield.

I’m not going to lie: it’s kind of boring.

So when I get the invite to play in Fight Night, an underground skirmish simulation league, playing whatever role I want against crazier opponents than ever before, how can I turn the offer down? It’s just harmless fun, after all…

Until Lagolian girls start to go missing.

Lunar Alpha 3: Defiance
We’re closing in on Chorus, the Lagolian’s home star system. It’s been a long month of relentless, deadly 5v5 skirmishes with the Nekrol, deadly A.I. robots with mysterious origins, but there’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel, especially now that I’m in command of the Lagolian army. But before we can finish off the Nekrol, I need upgrades.

Vega shows me a whole new world called Holodnor, a neutral planet where alien races buy and sell everything from weapons to DNA upgrades. I’m going to need every little upgrade I can get, because there’s a new threat on the horizon—one that will make fighting the Nekrol seem like fighting kids’ toys—and one that will shed some light on where the alien robots came from, and what they want from the Lagolians.
