He hails from Southern California, studied at Pembroke College (Cambridge, England), and is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and did specialty training at Stanford University.
November, 1880. An aimless, freshly-wounded twenty-eight year-old discharged British Army surgeon finds himself washed ashore on the lush Atlantic island of Bermuda.
