3 Sand Trap – Not all sand traps occur on the links. Some may be found on a popular beach or lonely stretch of highway.
A sensitive and two ghost hunters walk into a bar. The barman is silent and the barflies long dead. Sounds like the start of a joke, but it’s not. An active haunt in a derelict biker bar on Route 66 is a dream come true for the PEEPs team until it turns violent. An SOS is sent to Mia Cooper who hits the open road with her ghostly pal Murphy riding shotgun. Together they try to enter the haunted building only to be repelled by the building itself. They can’t get in, and the ghosts can get out.
Courtney Fairchild wanted a rich husband and wasn’t going to let a little thing like death stand in her way. Hit by lightning as she walked along an exclusive Floridian beach, her soul was fused together with the sand, creating a beautiful specimen of fulgurite, which finds a home at the Chicago Field Museum. Released into the museum, Courtney roams from display to display looking for a way out of her glass prison.
4 Darker than Dark -Gwen hates the dark. Most children do, but she has more reasons than most. At night when the lights go out, entities that are darker than dark crawl out of the woodwork and torment her. A call to mommy brings relief as the lights go on, and the darker than darks scurry away. But not tonight. A thunderstorm leaves her family without electricity, without light, vulnerable to those who thrive on darkness.
Meanwhile, Murphy is noticing that spirits of the Iroquois and Fox tribes from the 1650s are massing in the north woods of his land. Why are they there? What do they have to do with Gwen’s tormenters? 5 The Garden – The PEEPs team (Paranormal Entity Exposure Partners) has finally taken on a paying investigation. The owner of an isolated mansion wishes to donate the lease of the property to be used as an abuse shelter. There’s only one problem, it’s haunted. From the maids perpetually making up the beds to a banshee screaming in the upper hall, this house is more than hot with activity, it’s boiling.
Mia, Murphy and the team take on ghosts who not only want to harm each other but all those who tread upon the floorboards of their home. They no sooner rest one ghost when two more pop up. It’s a whack-a-mole game with dangerous consequences.
A house filled to the brim with paranormal activity is one thing, but then there’s the garden…
6 Puzzle – A group of teenage boys enter an abandoned middle school with larceny on their minds. The tables are quickly turned when an entity of great power locks them in and forces them to play his puzzle games. Dave (Sand Trap), who is violently tossed out because he can see the ghost, calls Mia for help, fearing police involvement.
The Paranormal Entity Exposure Partners arrive to help, but they find the building will only allow the guys in. The men venture in while Mia and Murphy are stuck outside unable to help them. The PEEPS must rely on their combined abilities and intelligence if they are going to defeat the ghost of Clinton Middle School and rescue the teenagers.
Meanwhile Mia, Dave and Murphy encounter a ragtag group of ghostly soldiers from the Civil War outside. They too want to get into the school, but for a far more sinister reason.
7 Old Bones – Every family has a few skeletons in their closet.
Meeting the future in-laws has Mia in a panic. She’d rather face a hoard of marauding ghosts than make polite conversation with the 150 relatives and friends that have arrived to check her out.
“If you are reading this then I, Giuseppe Basso, am dead. I have been murdered.”
Audrey, the newest member of the PEEPs family, finds the ominous note under a beautifully carved grandfather clock and is determined to solve the mystery behind it. Unfortunately, the ghostly patriarch of the Basso family has other ideas and will stop at nothing to bury the scandal.
Mia’s father has gone missing while investigating a link between a western Missouri tribe and the ancient city of Cahokia. He has been abducted by a time walker hell-bent on finding out why his memory was erased from time. Mia, Murphy and PEEPs rush down to St. Louis to pick up the trail of the time walker.
8 Thing that Go Bump in the Night – Ladies and Gentlemen, The Jewel Theater proudly presents for your reading enjoyment “Things that Go Bump in the Night,” starring Cherry O’Kelly, a burlesque performer whose career was cut short in her prime. A consummate professional, Cherry doesn’t let a little thing like death get in the way of a good bump and grind. Enjoy the pageantry while you can because something evil is coming to the theater.
Next up on the haunt parade is the Rosemont Hotel. It is reputed to be fraudulently haunted. Its owner – plagued by bumps in the night – has sought out help and has been turned down by all the reputable ghost hunting teams in the area except for one, PEEPs. Burt has a gut feeling about the hotel. Will Burt’s instincts alone be enough to find out what is really going on at the Rosemont?

9 Something Old – In this ninth novel of the Haunted Series:
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, a wedding looms on the horizon. Mia and Ted have cold feet, but it’s not from wedding jitters. 10 The Middle House – Unfinished business, we all have it. Projects left undone, a garden yet to be weeded, an email needing to be sent. In Mia’s case, it’s Cold Creek Hollow. It has been two years since the horrors there were successfully dealt with. But what happened to the ghosts that retreated to the sanctuary of the houses? Should she let sleeping ghosts lie?
In the middle house, an evil stirs behind its stone walls. It calls to its minions, gathering its forces. Mia is alerted to the gathering by a spirit tracker, one of a pair of spectral bounty hunters who have been following the path of a powerful soul-jumper who has arrived in the hollow.
11 Renovation – It’s do-it-yourself season and the DIY projects are in full swing with enthusiastic homeowners tearing down walls, sanding old floors and waking up ghosts. “It should be called DYI for do-yourself-in,” Mia commented as the calls for PEEPs flood the switchboards and crash their computers. Or did something else crash them?
Meanwhile, Angelo searches for the soul of his lost friend. If there is the faintest possibility that Father Santos is still alive, Angelo pledges to find him, even if it means his own demise.

12 Mind Fray On a quiet street in the suburbs of Chicago sits an ordinary ranch home built in the sixties. Inside, a young couple rests comfortably until there is a scratch at the door…
Something inhabits the Madisons’ home. It feeds off of memories and produces hallucinations that will isolate and confuse the ghost hunters until it can get its hands them. The physicality of the presence sends pregnant Mia to the bench, in this case, the command center. The other PEEPs no sooner step inside the door, before they are greeted with their worst nightmares. Even Murphy is plagued by demons of his past.
With Mia sidelined, and Murphy unable to function, PEEPs accept the help of Father Santos’s group. They too have never dealt with an entity as powerful as this. But don’t worry, Gerald Shem knows a guy who knows a guy…

13 The Siege The dropping temperatures herald the coming of the holidays in northern Illinois. There are trees to be trimmed and packages to be wrapped. Mia is taking it easy while the PEEPs struggle with an infestation of poltergeists. Meanwhile, Big Bear Lake braces for the approach of the first winter storm. Two feet of snow is expected. Murphy has cut enough wood for four winters so there is little worry about the approaching storm.
But the storm that is approaching is one no one can prepare for. It has little to do with snowflakes, but the fast accumulation of them isn’t helping. This holiday the “unexpected visitor” won’t be leaving the Martin household with presents under the tree, but taking something back with him, something or someone very valuable.
14 NOLA Favors, be careful asking for them, because they have to be repaid. Repaying her debt Gerald Shem has sent Mia to New Orleans, Louisiana to be part of a team of sensitives and psychics who were coming together to aid in the crossing of lost spirits. Mia assumed that she was just replacing a team member that had fallen ill, but there is more at stake in the Big Easy than it appears. A soul eater has been released in the French Quarter, and according to Judge Roumain, only Mia has the skills to fight it.
Meanwhile, the PEEPs are investigating the Little Goodwin Village Library where a bevy of ghosts have entered and have yet to check out. Without Mia, they have to do things the old school way, relying on Murphy to communicate with the dead.
Separated from each other, Mia and PEEPS will be tested to see it they have what it takes to cross the lost, and in Mia’s case, survive NOLA.

Agent Whitney Martin’s PERT (Paranormal Entity Research Team) has gone missing in western Illinois. Tom Braverman and PEEPs have been called in to assist in the recovery operation. They are pitted against a ghost so powerful, that he can manipulate both time and people. Within hours of their arrival, Audrey and Murphy disappear. Have they too fallen under the influence of the ghost? Are they part of the restitution the ghost wants so desperately to have?
With every situation, there is a resolution, but with every crime, there is a restitution that must be made. A memory vault containing Mia’s missing five years opens, and with it comes the recollection of crimes for which she finds herself accountable. She seeks the advice of a trusted friend, and together, they must stand before the demon court.

19. The Long Game – An unusual messenger appears at Mia’s farm during a spring storm. “Tell him all weren’t lost in the Cardamom Mountains,” he says and is suddenly gone, swept up in a swirling eddy of rain and leaves. The message is intended for both Sheriff John Ryan and Father Santos. It prompts the two, along with Mia and Murphy, to return to the place they first met, Cambodia.
Meanwhile, the Big Bear Lake Cemetery is vandalized, and bodies are found to be missing from the Weller mausoleum. To make matters worse, the deputy in charge of the investigation quickly becomes missing too. Acting-Sheriff Tom Braverman deputizes Ted, Cid and Ed to find his deputy. What dangerous game are these spirits playing with both the living and the dead?
Mia has avoided the corrupted ground of the Big Bear Lake Cemetery all her life since she was found screaming at the crossroads of the graveyard when she was a young child. She tries to stay out of this investigation, but there is another restless spirit there who will only deal with her. This brings her back to the graveyard to face her greatest fear, in a fight that she may not win. Will her nemesis claim her, or will Mia survive another encounter with the Countess?
20. Given Enough Rope – The sky darkens, bad weather is coming in…
In an old renovated stone silo, set atop a granite shelf overlooking a gravel pit, ropes hang from the walls. Attached to them are student climbers, including Dieter and Mark Leighton, two teens under the watchful eye of Mia, who has brought young Brian along with her. Bad weather moves in, bringing with it more than lightning, rain, and wind. Three things travel in lightning storms: they are Wanderers, dark wizards, and demons. Two of the three are headed for the silo. Can a very pregnant Mia protect the people trapped within? Will Ted, Cid, and Murphy arrive in time to save them?
In Chicago, beyond the velvet rope stands The Eighty-eight, a piano bar owned by Ralph’s friend Dash. He has requested PEEPs help in discovering who is haunting his new bar. So far, a few Irish ghosts have made their presence known, and the only casualties are a few broken bottles of alcohol. Upon PEEPs’ arrival, an entity of unknown origin is discovered. It brings with it a wave of grief so strong that it cannot be ignored. What is this Dark Watcher, and why is it there? Trouble comes in threes, and the supernatural aren’t the only threat for The Eighty-eight and PEEPs. Can they get to the heart of the matter before all is lost?
Meanwhile in Big Bear Lake, the unimaginable has happened. Someone has ghost-napped Edwin, the beloved ghost of the Gifford house, and Bea White, the new owner, wants him back. Tom Braverman steps in to lead the investigation. He hopes that, given enough rope, the kidnappers will reveal themselves, and Edwin will be rescued. But things are never as simple as they seem, and like the nature of rope, the investigation is twisted and full of knots.
21. The Return – Mia is experiencing the normal life she’s dreamed about. A mother of three. “Did the last one have to be born in the snow?” Parent teacher conferences. “What do you mean Dieter is flunking English?” Trips to the library. “Why is this ghost throwing books at me?”
Acting Sheriff Tom Braverman’s life isn’t going much better, his mother has kicked him out of the house, and the teen he’s mentoring is being targeted by a psychopath.
22. Risen – In the French Caribbean, there is an island protected by a bountiful reef. Its sandy beach is pristine, and its shallow lagoon’s waters are warm and welcoming. It’s known to but a few, and only the greedy will give up its location.
Sabine and the Callen brothers, fresh from a disappointing trip to Guadeloupe, in search of the George Wall Pirate treasure, travel to the island to follow up on a clue buried in the maritime records. The moment their luxury sport yacht anchors, Sabine is overwhelmed with a sense of evil.
The Martins are looking forward to enjoying a few childfree days when Sabine calls Mia. She needs advice. Mia hears the panic in Sabine’s voice and seeks out answers. But the more she looks into the problem, the more it becomes apparent that Sabine is in mortal danger if she stays where she is.
Mia and Ted put together a small team to go extract Sabine and convince the Callens to leave the island. But they arrive too late, and now, not only is Sabine in danger, but so is the whole human race.
