Earth Chronicles by Ronald D. Thompson (Books #1-2)
Requirements: ePUB Reader, 2.8 mb
Overview: Ronald D Thompson is a Company Director of 20 years. In 2016 he decided to fulfil an ambition to pen a novel, culminating in the launch of his debut novel, Earth in Torment, in March 2018. With an avid interest in the possibility of extra-terrestrial life in our Universe, science fiction was the obvious genre.
As a 58 years old family man, he enjoys the full support of his wife, children and grandchildren, in his quest to write a series of science fiction novels. Back in the day, a long time ago, his ambition was to be a session musician, gaining a place to study at the Leeds College of Music in his home town, along the way. Whilst he wasn’t destined to be professional musician, writing in more recent years has been the forefront of a new challenge, one he intends to enjoy and make the most of as he nears retirement.
The quote that aptly sums up the thinking behind this series of novels is one of Arthur C Clarke’s best "Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying."
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi
Earth In Torment (#1)
2218
Earth is not the place it was – it is an alien battlefield. Beings beyond our control contest the prize – Earth! One man, Robert Stave, is determined to alter the past, to save our future. An alien time machine offers him the opportunity, even if it means murder.
The odds are against him but he must prevail if he is to save our species. But who are the enemy, aliens from other worlds or sinister beings from our distant past?
Can Robert Stave, thwart the enemy, seize control of the apocalyptic ‘portal amplifier’ before it gets into the wrong hands?
Earth in Torment, a debut novel, the first book in an epic tale of corruption, deceit and alien power.
If you like a complicated plot with sinister twists, espionage, love triangles and interesting characters, then you will love Earth in Torment.
Earth Vs. Alien (#2)
2218
The Earth is divided into 44 regions, overrun by aliens and human numbers are diminishing.
Humans must disprove alien claims to Earth by uncovering evidence in Earth’s past. The time capsule is their only chance, but Robert Stave has sabotaged the capsule for his own gain. He must be stopped if humans are to prevail but that involves using other time capsules against the wishes of the galactic police – the Council of the Light.
With the added threat that the rebel humans, led by Zak Lancelot, are poised to take matters into their own hands, time is running out!
Will the Earth become one ever changing present or a myriad of possible timelines, or will those in the future further complicate an already compromised present in this battle of Earth vs Alien?
