The Impetus (Book 1)
The disease hits everywhere at once. Major cities go dark and the few survivors struggle to live among the ruins. No one is able to provide a reliable answer why, and help is not coming. Then the pathogen changes. Victims of the violence begin waking up in search of new prey. When humanities place as the apex predator is challenged, the whole balance of the world is altered. Daniel Ostler is caught in the middle of a world on the edge of extinction. He must learn to rely on his new found friends as they fight their way toward safety, and hopefully answers. The Impetus is the first book in a series detailing the fall of modern humanity, and the rise of something much more terrifying.
Headed North (Book 2)
Humanity struggles on the edge of survival. In the span of days the world plunged into chaos. An unexplained virus swept the globe, turning people feral and killing billions. Then hours later the dead woke up. Daniel and his new friends cling to life in the midst of death and destruction. Even though they lost Faraday they stick to his plan and continue north in search of Safe Zones that may, or may not, exist. Daniel begins to question his role in the group. He is forced to adapt to the brutal nature of the new world, or be swallowed in the jaws of death. While Daniel heads north, Peter Kormine leads a group of survivors in a last ditch effort to save their town, or at least what remains of it. His lifetime of service in the military, including multiple deployments, lands him an involuntary position as the commander. He fights against his own sorrow and loss, while trying to save everyone around him. Headed North follows two groups of survivors in the hellish landscape of a world torn apart, culminating in a clash of life and death.
