Requirements: .ePUB reader, 2.4 MB
Overview: Michael J. Vanecek grew up in a household of avid readers. He would often find himself lost in his growing library, and when not reading, he would frequently draw what he saw in his head from what he read. To compliment his reading obsession, he has an avid imagination and sometimes distracting tendency to daydream, much to the consternation of his teachers and parents. His childhood circle of friends mirrored his tendencies and provided a developmental springboard for his creative tendencies, including art, videography and creating sophisticated realities and stories. He is an avid student of life and is enthusiastically enthralled by all things from science to art. This is reflected in the stories that he writes.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy

1. The Awakening
You know you’ve had a bad day when you are chased by a psychopath and his army of secret agents, tormented by the monsters of your nightmares, and your imaginary Elf girlfriend won’t stop whispering from the shadows. All he wanted was a little peace and solitude while he cracked into super-secret government servers to search for his missing parents. He is Steven Crow – target of violent secret agents and monsters alike for reasons he can’t remotely comprehend. Loved by an Elf of his imagination who may not be what she appears to be. And going silently mad as he seeks answers to who he is and why he’s being pursued.

2. The Deviant
Nothing in his life was the same anymore, and he was not taking it well. What he thought was true, was not. What he was sure was fantasy ended up being his actual reality. Everywhere he turned, what he had considered normal turned out to be an illusion. He wasn’t even human! Steven Crow was desperate to regain some sense of ordinary. To find his parents and put his nightmare behind him. To please the love of his life and move forward in their relationship. To find peace again. Try as he might, his best efforts were futility in the face of foes, and adversity was everywhere he turned. Even the enemy within himself. His wants were simple. But the threats coming against him threatened not just his desires, but the foundations of existence for everyone.
