Overview: And the Sun appeared black as if covered in shadow; The moon appeared red as if covered in blood….

All over the tri-state area of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming that are connected to Yellowstone National Forest; into northern Utah and into the western Canadian providences of Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan life begins as normal. Businesses open and morning shifts begin as night shifts end. Young teenage girls on their way to school whisper to their girlfriends about their first kiss at last Friday nights football game while young teenage boys brag to their friends about theirs. All of this is suddenly extinguished in a flash of earth, lava, and violence as the caldera that is Yellowstone erupts killing millions. Some die while changing their radio. Others die while singing Disney carols with their children on their way to pre-school, but all die. Death is swift and efficient as it carries them on its wings into the afterlife and begins to single handedly write the next chapter of human existence in its own blackened vision. As survivors of the eruption battle the elements and dangers of the newly created sunless version of the world for food and water, they must also fight against the monstrosities that have been created by the catastrophic event as well as struggle with their own humanity. All while the volcano holds the world in an embrace of malicious intent and blankets her beneath an ashen cloud of complete and utter darkness…..
