Between the shady vice principal, the petty treasurer gunning for her job, and even the mayor’s wife out for gossip, anyone could be hiding deadly secrets.
Things get more complicated when my childhood crush, Chase, returns to town, stirring up old feelings. Together, we follow Cider’s keen nose through the pines, chasing clues that loop from bitter rivalries to tragic romance and back again. But when I narrowly escape getting shot in the woods near the victim’s home, I know the killer’s ready to strike again. Can I solve the toxic web of motives in Timber Creek before we all take our last bites?
