The atmosphere of Earth is disappearing. World Governments are unable to agree on how to stop it and scientists estimate that the planet will be uninhabitable in less than a decade. Seeing the end approaching a group of powerful individuals come together to take matters into their own hands. They create a virus that is designed to cull the population of Earth back to manageable levels but their plan fails when their virus mutates and plunges Earth into a death spiral. The population of Earth is heading for zero when Sara and Jack come up with a bold plan to try and save what remains of a decimated humanity. Their plan is simple. They will take a sample of the virus to the uninfected scientists living aboard the International Space Station. They believe that the scientific knowledge of the astronauts on ISS is humanity’s last best hope.
The plan is for Jack and Sara to travel to New Mexico and fly the Jericho One space plane up to the International Space Station. There are two big problems; Jericho One was not designed for space travel and is little more than a zero G carnival ride for tourists and Jack and Sara are teenagers.
The odds against them are great but they hold out the only real hope for saving the people of planet Earth from extinction.
