Overview: A child of the movies, I was always consumed by fantastic stories told by others and translated into adventures to be retold by me through the action figure medium. As I grew older, I put the action figures away and moved into the realm of role playing. Though I never outgrew role playing, I certainly don’t have the time for it anymore. Since I was eleven years old, I’ve been pouring almost every ounce of creative energy I have into writing. I graduated college in 1993 with a degree in computer science. I tried my hand at programming for a couple of years and found it pretty unsatisfying. I later became a partner at a comic book store, where I spent several years. Though it wasn’t a financial success, the experience I gained from running the store and the people that I met (many whom I’m still in touch with today) was priceless. After leaving the store, I settled into a career of teaching. I still teach at a public high school in New York. Ironically, I’ve picked up computer programming again, which is what I mostly teach, peppered with some math courses now and again. I’ve been writing the whole time. I released my first book electronically in 2010. Forty Leap was, and still is, the pinnacle of my writing to date. It was a turning point for me in both style and story building. The Book of Revelations, which was written earlier but released later, was sort of a midway point between the writer I was and the writer I’ve become. I experimented with a very odd style and a story that employed diverse characters and controversial situations. In September 2010, I released the first installment of Zombies! It went out for free, the subsequent episodes each priced at 99 cents. Zombies! has been a tremendous success for me and I’m currently working with someone to develop it into a television series.

Barriers and Collapse (Episode Six)
The walls that separate the characters of Zombies! begin to collapse. The Zombie Rights Association is gaining credibility and support in their efforts to protect the people who have become infected with the zombie plague. Fearful that their efforts might bring about the zombie apocalypse he fears, Peter Ventura begins to take matters into his own hands. He recruits Abby to his cause, using the common trauma of their ordeal at Sisters of Charity Hospital. When John Arrick has his first zombie encounter since recovering from the infection weeks before, he discovers that the plague has left him changed. As a result, he takes a trip to the Bronx to see what all the fuss is about with the zombie fights.
Conflicts of Interest (Episode Seven)
It’s a night at the fights for, well, just about everyone. So place your bets because, though everyone gets to go, not everyone gets to go home. Troubled by his recent choices, John Arrick goes in search of redemption. But even those actions which seem right turn out wrong in the end. With no one to turn to, he goes back to Push Ups and confesses to Abby, leaving her with all of the information regarding the weekend zombie fights. Abby, though, is facing her own demons. Though her involvement with Peter Ventura led to a fire and the death of a fireman, she feels she has nowhere else to turn. Her relationship with her husband has deteriorated and her early friendship with Anthony Heron has faded. When Smith discovers a zombie that doesn’t attack people, he turns it over to Heron. Obsessed with zombie "anomalies" he’s been experiencing, Heron is fascinated by this new specimen and vows to keep it from the "Butcher Shop".
The Good, the Bad and the Zombie (Episode Eight)
It’s Christmas. While Greg Smith is reunited with his estranged parents, Anthony Heron must battle his demons in order to find his way back to the family that is rapidly slipping away. After an unprecedented phone call from his mother, Greg Smith and his wife agree to allow them into their lives despite a prior conflict. As they are resolving their issues, Smith must deal with the rapidly deteriorating Anthony Heron and a piece of intelligence that names all of the Zombie Rights Association officers and the locations of their safe houses. When Naughton steps in to help Smith run the operation, they implement a plan to exterminate hundreds of zombies and take back control of the city. But, of course, when an operation is spread out over six locations and involves dozens of people from all different branches of law enforcement, things are bound to go wrong.
Changing of the Guard (Episode Nine)
In the wake of the disastrous effort to clean out zombie safe houses all over New York City, Homeland Security steps in to take charge. Anthony Heron must continue to face down his own demons. A new zombie threat faces the city. Back at work, Lieutenant Heron begins an investigation sparked by the results of Captain Naughton’s operation against the Zombie Rights Association. Throughout the course of his investigation, he must face some difficult realizations and the ultimate consequences of the choices he has made. Meanwhile, Naughton himself must play chaperone to a Homeland Security agent bent on finding culpability and shaking up New York City’s zombie protection.
State of Emergency (Episode Ten)
In this final episode of Zombies! Series 1, the city of New York is besieged by thousands of zombies. For Anthony Heron, Denise Luco, Shawn Rudd, and Abby Benjamin, difficult choices must be made if they are to protect themselves and the ones they love. In the midst of a raging blizzard, an army of zombies marches across the five boroughs of New York City. Trapped with her son in a small boutique, Abby Benjamin must contend not only with her own growing panic, but the panic of those around her. Cutting out of school on a Friday during a snowstorm sounds like a lot of fun. But Shawn Rudd and his friends are suddenly cornered by zombies at every turn and must fight their way through with nothing but their wits and their guts. Troubled by the developments with Zoe Koplowitz, Dr. Luco vows not to let the government destroy her. Desperate, she performs a dangerous experiment which will change both her life and Zoe’s undeath. While the police and the army battle zombies, Anthony Heron has the neighbors over the house for some coffee and conversation. There’s nothing like a quiet evening at home during the storm.
