Overview: Amelia Cobb is sadly not a real person, although there is a real author behind the Zoe’s Rescue Zoo stories. If Amelia did exist, we like to think that she’d live by the sea with her two goldfish, Flip and Flop, and write her stories at a small desk by the window, listening to the radio and wearing a brightly-coloured scarf at all times.

The Lonely Lion Cub: When Great-Uncle Horace brings back lost and homeless animals from his travels around the globe, it falls to Zoe, and her mum, the zoo vet, to settle them into their new home. She’s good at this, because she can understand what they say and talk to them, too. But that’s a secret! A tiny lion cub comes to stay at the zoo and Zoe must ask Leonard, the grumpy old lion, for his help.
03. The Playful Panda: In this third book, two cuddly panda cubs arrive at the zoo. They’re twins! Zoe isn’t sure how she’ll be able to tell them apart, until she finds that one of them is really, really naughty!
04. The Silky Seal Pup: In the fourth book in the series, a sad little seal pup arrives at the zoo. But how can Zoe welcome him to the zoo if it might be closing down.
05. The Eager Elephant: In the fifth book in the series, a playful baby elephant arrives at the zoo. But how can Zoe prevent him from rushing into big trouble.
09. The Wild Wolf Pup: A little wolf pup has arrived at the zoo, just in time for Halloween. He won’t stop howling, and Zoe doesn’t know if he’s unhappy, or if it’s something more spooky…
