Alpha Stavros keeps most of his pack in check with a firm hand – with the possible exception of his mate, Kent, who, as usual, manages to resist most forms of control.
It is Kent who is plagued by an ancient spirit, one who seeks to use him as a tool in a bid for a revenge centuries in the making. It is Kent who Nikolai has come such a long way to see, but from the moment the prince lays eyes on timid and terribly scarred omega, Braid, he becomes obsessed. Unfortunately for Nikolai, Braid is not an easy man to court. He keeps to the shadows, is polite – but evasive, and when cornered he takes to his heels.
