Overview: Born St.Helens, Lancashire in 1950. Attended Cowley Grammar School. Became an English teacher and taught in the North East of England for 35 years. He co-wrote a number of musicals including Shakespeare The Musical and The Journey (produced at the Millenium Dome in 2000). He enjoys history, visiting castles and reading historical novels. His first nine novels are all set in the 1st century AD in the northern half of England. He has also written a thriller, Carnage at Cannes as well as 9 Sword of Cartimandua novels.
He has now published a KS3 Novel , Great Granny’s Ghost which has been purchased by a number of schools and he is now doing author days in the schools which have bought sets of the novel. He is also undertaking public speaking as an author having done a number of award ceremonies.

He is embroiled in a war with the men of Gwynedd as well as having to fight off raids from the Irish. Saxon Blood carries on the story of Lord Lann and his redoubtable warriors as they cling on to their new home in the face of many enemies.
#5 Saxon Slayer: The Warlord of Rheged is summoned to meet the Emperor of Byzantium where he and Myrddyn become embroiled in Eastern conspiracies. It is there he learns the truth about his sword, Saxon Slayer. After an eventful journey back to Britain he forms an alliance with the other Welsh kings and begins the fightback against the treacherous King Iago and the Saxons. When his family is nearly killed he has to finally face all of his enemies to help his people survive.
#6 Saxon Slaughter: The Warlord of Rheged is ready to take the fight to the Saxons and leads an army of knights to reconquer Rheged. Plots and ambushes nearly result in the loss of his son and Prince Cadwallon. The story moves quickly from one end of the land to another before culminating in the battle of Wrecsam which sees the fate of many kings decided.
#7 Saxon Bane: The novel is set in the heart of the Dark Ages and shows the struggle between the Saxons and the remnants of Romano-British tribes. Using actual events from the time the story is of the struggle of a legendary leader with a magical sword who unites the last of the free peoples against King Edwin and his Northumbrians. There is treachery and deceit as well as honour and courage. Filled with action and battles the novel continues the story of Lord Lann, the Wolf Warrior.
#8 Saxon Fall: The Rise of the Warlord: There is a new Warlord and he has to face the threat of an invasion from Northumbria. The world is changing and the loyalties of some of his allies are questioned. When treachery strikes then the men of Rheged are forced to defend their homes with their lives. The novel climaxes in the historical battle of Hatfield when the Mercians and the Welsh face the Northumbrians of King Edwin.
