The book is technically, geographically and historically accurate, weapons and bases are accurate, military and intelligence structures are accurate, units depicted are accurately portrayed, yet this is fiction, and fantasy, and not intended to be an accurate depiction of day to day British or American military life, which is often very dull when there is no deployment.
