#2 – The Comancheros
The comancheros in the northwest corner of the Texas panhandle are planning something big. But even as they plan, someone is wreaking havoc on farms southwest of Amarillo. The MO is the same, as is the signature, but can it be the same groups? Can Wes and the other Rangers stop the apparent widespread outbreak of savagery? Perhaps with the help of a new deputy sheriff. Her name is Susan May, and she’s only too eager to help.

#4 – Return to the New Mexico Territory
Wes has come to learn that doing the right thing doesn’t always mean doing what’s strictly, or even marginally, legal. But then, the guiding prinicpal of his life is "Upright is not a matter of degree." Sometimes you have to go far afield to uphold that principal. And sometimes the boss decides to ride alongside you.

#5 – Carmen Morales
Between Books 2 and 3 of the 12-volume Wes Crowley saga, there’s a 15-year gap. This is the fifth book that sets out to fill that gap. Hence, the Wes Crowley Gap Series.

Much more about Four Crows, the young Comanche war chief; Red Hawk, the old Comanche chief and brother of Four Crows’ mentor, Iron Bear; Rafe Wilkins and other outlaws; and Francisco "Paco" Messina, the most dangerous and wily of the comancheros. Enter Carmen Morales, who, with the help of the Texas Rangers of Company D, Amarillo, Texas, tries to set a lot of things right.

Will Rafe Wilkins be able to leave the old life behind? Will Carmen Morales successfully rid herself of Paco Messina? Will the Rangers make yet another sweep through the easternmost reaches of the New Mexico Territory?

#6 – Santa Fe
In this book, the Texas Rangers of Company D, Amarillo Texas, will meet an old friend of their captain, Major General (retired) Lew Wallace, the recently appointed governor of the New Mexico Territory.

The governor, it turns out, has a favor to ask of his old friend. But if Captain Wilson grants the favor, how will that affect the Amarillo company and the Rangers within it, including Wes and Mac? What difference will it make to the Rangers’ enemies, most notably the Comanche war chief Four Crows and the desperate comanchero, Francisco "Paco" Messina? And most importantly, what effect will it have on the Territory’s march toward eventual statehood?

#8 – Wes Crowley
In this book, Wes establishes his office and himself as the newest law enforcement officer in Santa Fe, New Mexico Territory.

It’s a new time, and a new job. Although his days of putting up with the constant Comanche raids are over, at least for now, he fully expects he will soon have more dealings with the comancheros back near the Texas state line. But maybe a surprise is waiting. And maybe it’s to be expected.

Can there be a smooth ride for a territory in the Wild West that’s seeking statehood? Growing pains are prevalent, widespread, and often severe. Likewise, not all of the outlaws in the Territory are comancheros. When greed takes over, almost anyone can qualify. What new enemies will Wes encounter?

#9 – The Road to Amarillo
During his time as a deputy US marshal, Wes has made new friends. He’s also made, and vanquished, a few new enemies. But even with all the diversions of love and war, there remains the main overall goal of ridding the Territory of comancheros to clear the path for statehood.

Now, perhaps, is the time to focus on and achieve that goal. Wes is longing more and more for Texas, the Rangers, and his Amarillo friends. Will he finish the job Governor Lew Wallace hired him to do? If so, will he finally be going home?

#10 – Looking to the Future
Wes Crowley has served a tour as a deputy US marshal at the convenience of Governor Lew Wallace in Santa Fe, New Mexico Territory.

The assignment was supposed to last for six months. But as things led to other things, it stretched to almost a year.

He misses the high plains of Amarillo Texas and his friends.

Not only his lifelong partner, Otis "Mac" McFadden and the other Texas Rangers in Company D, but his other friends as well:

The old telegrapher, Sam Pencilman. Manuel Ortega, owner and operator of the Amarillo Inn. Ramón Sanchez, owner of Sanchez Livery Stable.

He’s longed to end his tenure as a deputy US marshal and head home for months. But can he leave behind Rose Padilla, the very special friend who owns Rosy’s Kiva Café in Santa Fe?

He has time to consider his options, but not much time. There’s a major skirmish building in the eastern side of the New Mexico Territory. Maybe after that he’ll have time to think and come to a decision.
