Overview: Christmas Cookies finds a nosey neighbor strangled and wrapped in a string of Christmas lights sitting on her front porch. Annie Parker, the owner of the Snowflake Café and Bakery gathers her friends to work the case. Sam Sparks, the town’s chief of police and Annie’s boyfriend, needs to keep Annie safe while solving the crime.
Spring Fling starts with a kidnapping of Victor Franconi, a shady businessperson and questionable poker player. Darla, his timid and mousy wife moves in with Annie, who gathers her friends, called the posse to investigate the disappearance. Spring Fling is an annual event celebrated by the town. The Franconis foil any romantic ideas Sam had for the evening.
Shopping Spree takes Annie on a fun weekend with her niece, Taylor. Surprise! They find the dead body of Taylor’s employer at the antique shop. The posse packs their bags and head to Boulder to help. Taylor spots a clue at the shop owners’ meeting that helps to solve the case. When Annie returns home, she finds her old boyfriend, Brad sitting at the café counter.
Slim Gym opens with the trainer, Eric Chapman, having his throat crushed while lifting weights. Kate Mackenzie, a posse member, finds him. Marissa and her brother TJ arrive in town to confront Eric about Marissa’s pregnancy. This starts the ball rolling to cause Eric’s death. It was the trainer’s downfall to love all the good-looking women in Sweetwater. After the posse helps solve the crime, Annie learns that Brad is settling in town and plans to pursue his old love.
Afternoon Delight is the name for Annie’s special strawberry-rhubarb pie. Brad dies after eating what appears to be pie from Annie’s bakery. After going to jail, the posse comes to the rescue. A spurned love leads to hatred for the lawyer causing his death. The final scene of the story is the long awaited culmination of Sam and Annie’s relationship.
