Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Waze will automatically shut down if you run it in the background and haven’t driven for a while.

New map engine – We are working on improving our map engine which will allow us to add new features in the future and generally enhance the map. You should not feel any change but your help is needed!
When testing, please focus on:
General map behavior – Is it smooth? Do you notice any glitches? Do all map elements load correctly? Does the map react naturally in all flows (i.g. “Share location”)?
Map performance – Does it load faster than before?
Crashes – Do you see any unusual crashes? Specific flows that crash the app frequently?
Older devices – If you are using older devices (especially Android), does the map still work for you like it used to? If not, what device and OS are you using?
Switching between apps and long sessions – please also report about related issues
