Warriors of Gr’mlakin Series by Zeta Star (1-3)
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 663 b
Overview: I’m a lifelong sci-fi and fantasy fan. It’s generational, really, as my mom took me with her to sci-fi conventions when I was a kid. Some of my best memories are playing laser tag in the hotel hallways. Since writing my first (very) short story in grade school about three dragons fleeing by car from a nameless enemy, I’ve had characters and worlds clamoring for attention in my mind.
Genre: Fiction > Romance

1. Grr! – Without Grr,—I didn’t name him, okay?—I’d have been a goner. And his furry abs? Just a bonus. (A nice one.)
First, giant alien lizard-guys abduct me. Then they leave me alone in a cell next to Grr. Then the force-field between us dies.
So now it’s just me and Grr. Sure, he’s beat up and pissed off with claws and fangs (I kind of like the fangs). And he growls a lot. Anyone would in our situation.
But hey, if you’re going to escape an alien prison ship and get chased across a planet where half the creatures you meet try to eat you, it’s good to have seven-feet of Grr at your side. He’s also easy on the eyes. Abs-on-abs, biceps-on-biceps, and let’s say all the right bulges in all the right places.
And he likes ear rubs. And other rubs. And rubbing me. (I like that too.)
The more time I spend with Grr, the more I think getting abducted by aliens wasn’t such a bad thing.
I just hope the lizard-guys don’t kill us before Grr can call in the big guns.
The ones that aren’t furry.
(Seriously, I’m not talking about the St. Bernard sized hamster. We just met him.)

2. Hss! – Without Hss – I can’t pronounce it, okay? – I’d have no hope of getting out of this arena. His sleek, pettable pecks almost make up for his bad attitude. Almost.
I’ve just had my worst month ever. First, my fiancé jilts me. Next, I’m abducted by aliens and sold into a gladiatorial arena.
Luckily, I tie a mean surgical knot, so they’ve put me to work stitching up the wounded. And when seven feet of sculpted, feline male drops onto my `operating’ mat, everything changes. He vows he’s going to take me off the planet with him. I’ll be happy for him take me any way he can.
The thing with Hss is he never keeps his head down, and he pisses everyone off. So there’s a list of enemies longer than his… ahem… chasing us.
Between monsters, assassins, and angry robots, our exit window is closing. I don’t know how we will escape, but when Hss puts his arms around me, I know I don’t want to escape him.

3. Roar! – Without Roar – you try pronouncing it, okay? — I’d be dead in that pod. And when he purrs and does that thing with his… I think I’ll keep him.
Abducted by space lizards? Check.
Experimented on? Check.
Rescued by seven feet of hot, alien male? Check!
Roar’s a bit shy, furry with claws and a metal arm, and his best friend is a spaceship named Killer. That’s a little scary.
Almost as scary as the zombie.
And the giant, angry insects.
And the hungry shadow monsters.
Roar doesn’t want to dishonor me or something like that so we’re keeping things casual. (Sort of. Maybe. Definitely not.) And if I live through this without getting my brain eaten, we might have a chance at something more.
Stranger things have happened.
