Overview: Irina
When I agreed to be a surrogate for my friends, I never imagined actually being a mother to the child. I figured cool aunt at best. But that’s exactly what happened. I became a mother overnight.
The lovely couple I was surrogating for died in a tragic accident, leaving the rearing of their unborn child to me.
With the walls closing in on me and too scared to go home and face the wrath of my family, I head to Black Timber Peak to work at my aunt and uncle’s coffee shop. But to my surprise they’re on a two-week cruise.
Now I’m stuck in a town with less than friendly locals, and only one place to go, home with a man who insists that I’m his.
Should I do the responsible thing and keep Yannick at arm’s length or fall headfirst into love?
Yannick
I ran from my past mistakes, too embarrassed to face those that believed in me. Black Timber Peak seemed like a safe place to go, a small town where I could lick my wounds and live out my days alone.
It worked for all of two years, then Irina waltzed into town, beautiful and full of sass but her eyes betrayed how truly scared she was.
Stuck in town with nowhere to go, I offer her my home. But little does she know I don’t plan on letting her go once her family returns. Irina belongs with me, and the sooner she realizes that, the better.
All was going according to plan until I caught her in a possible lie. Now I have an important decision to make.
Do I let history repeat itself and play the fool or do I learn from past mistakes and let her go?
