Waiting For Cayden by Gabe Gavin (Chronicling Cayden Book 1)
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 137 kb
Overview: Twenty-eight-year old chef Cayden Greer can’t afford to make mistakes, not this far into his career. With so much to lose—the hottest up-and-coming restaurant in L.A. and the hottest girlfriend—Cayden won’t let anything distract him, not his past and least of all his feelings of dissatisfaction. Enter Logan Donahue.
Twenty-three-year old Logan Donahue is frustrated writer (keyword: frustrated) who can’t seem to catch a break. To support his writing career (or lack thereof) Logan takes a job waiting tables at Cayden’s restaurant. With barely any experience, both Cayden and Logan are shocked that he’s hired, and as time only proves him unskilled, the two wonder why he’s kept around. As Cayden and Logan realize their mutual feelings, they must reconcile their radically different backgrounds.
Cayden grew up working class and poured his life into his culinary achievements. He can’t imagine the carefree life Logan lives. Logan, who grew up a part of the privileged, literary world uses Cayden’s working-class past as the inspiration for his first novel. Is he exploiting or respecting Cayden’s experience? Is it Cayden or just the idea of Cayden that’s so attractive?
Cayden must balance his girlfriend with his new feelings for Logan, and Logan must decide if he can stand the chef’s cockiness. The two struggle to uncover their true feelings: is this true love or just a sexual fling?
