Overview: In addition to being an author, Blake Northcott is an editor at Millarworld, the comic book company responsible for ‘Kick-Ass’, ‘Wanted’, and ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’. She’s also a regular contributor at CBS Man Cave Daily, Comic Book Resources and Verily Magazine.
Northcott’s ‘Arena Mode Saga’ is Kickstarter’s most-funded science-fiction series of all time, and the first book in the series was nominated for Britain’s prestigious BSFA (Best Novel of 2013). Because of their graphic novel influenced-style, the books have received praise and personal endorsements from some of the biggest names in the comic book industry, including Mark Millar (Marvel’s ‘Civil War’), Mark Waid (DC Comics ‘Kingdom Come’), and 2015 Hugo Award Nominee John Upchurch (Image Comics ‘Rat Queens’).
In 2015 Northcott’s debut novel, ‘Vs. Reality’, was optioned by Los Angeles-based film company Retribution Studios, and is now in development to be a motion picture.
