Overview: VMware Workstation Pro 17 is a program for creating multiple virtual computers on one system. VMware Workstation allows you to work on one operating system (for example, Windows XP), at the same time work on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11, FreeBSD, Linux, NetWare, Solaris, etc. – without the need to allocate separate resources for operating systems and restart the computer when switching from one operating system to another. The application allows you, in fact, to get several from one computer at once and, if necessary, these virtual computers can be completely isolated from each other or, conversely, combined into a virtual local network.
With VMware Workstation, you can install multiple operating systems and applications, access the Internet, and perform everyday tasks.
The benefit of this method is the ability to test various programs on different operating systems without causing damage to the current system installed on the main computer, as well as test some hardware solutions. It can make life much easier for cross-platform application developers and those who like to work with new operating systems.

• The guest operating system can be allocated up to 64 GB of RAM;
• For guest operating systems, an HD audio codec (based on Realtek ACL888) supporting 7.1 audio is now emulated;
• For Linux guest operating system 2.6.35 and above, it is possible to use USB3 ports on the guest system. This feature does not work on Windows until Windows 8, which will include a native USB3 driver;
• Added support for sharing Bluetooth devices on Windows guest operating systems, but cannot forward audio streaming, mouse and keyboard;
• Added support for forwarding Virtual VT-X/EPT or AMD-V/RVI hardware virtualization capabilities to the guest environment, so you can run vSphere (including version 5) as a guest operating system.

It is recommended to use Google Chrome browsers on Windows, Apple Safari on Mac OS, Ice Cream Sandwich browser on Android 4.0; Internet Explorer 10 is experiencing problems.
• Download virtual machines from the VMware vSphere cloud system to your local computer.
• Support for USB 3.0 on operating systems with appropriate drivers.
• Improved implementation of nested virtualization using Intel VT-x/EPT and AMD-V/RVI extensions, which, among other things, results in lower resource consumption for 64-bit clients.
• Limited support for the Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor: the ability to install Windows 8 with the corresponding feature enabled or install a Hyper-V server.
• Support for virtual performance analysis tools, allowing you to run applications such as Intel VTune Performance Analyzer.
