Overview: The golden age of mythology ended long ago. Many of those myths, those gods spoken of in the old tales, have fallen to the ennui of eternity, lapsed into history and fable.
Some yet linger, watching the children play at adult with their half-baked wisdom. Watching as they forget lessons taught in blood, as they repeat the same mistakes over and over. As they grow in power, in capacity to slaughter and oppress one another with ever greater efficiency. Some can stand to watch no longer. But, the children now wield terrible weapons capable of annihilating not just themselves.
Those yet-living myths find they must adapt to the world as it has become, embroil themselves in its intrigue and politics to guide the children to wisdom. Not all the gods are in agreement on the best course. Old grudges and grievances run deep.
Plans are taking shape, alliances are forming, and fortunes are being amassed. Rekindled with purpose, the gods maneuver to bring about a new golden age, regardless of who may find themselves underfoot. Glory and domination are ripe for the harvest.
