Unlikely Heroes by Jenny Wood (#1-4)
Requirements: ePUB Reader, 717kb
Overview: Jenny Wood- Stay at home mother/amateur writer. I’m about to turn 31, but still trying to pull off 29 for at least another year or two. I have two amazing sons, my oldest bordering on becoming a teenager and my youngest is just entering the pre-teen years.
I’ve got the most amazing husband whom I can’t decide if I want to bury him in the back yard or marry him all over again most days, but I appreciate him so much for not yelling when I shush him and not divorcing me when I get into the zone and write for hours at a time.
I’m new at this for now, so I hope everyone takes that into account while entering the fictional world that lived in my head all year. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
Genre: Romance

1. DON’T LEAVE ME ALONE
Alvin is coming home to bury his family; his entire family. His mom, dad and twin sisters who were in a fatal car accident. The military didn’t think he was stable enough to come back but really, he was just worried how he’d get through the coming days. The first one’s at his empty family home especially.

Carter is a school teacher going to the funeral of a very well respected family of his community. Not only does he see his crush from high-school, Alvin, but he also see’s him all alone and struggling to say goodbye to the only people he had left. Carter doesn’t see the fun-loving, carefree teen he crushed on; he’s long gone. The grieving, lost man sitting in the front row is in his place.

What will happen when Carter steps in to help this grieving man?
What will Alvin do when his eyes finally open and see’s Carter?
Is leaning on someone in times of trouble the best way to start a relationship or do they realize it’s the best foundation for love?

This book contains strong language and adult situations. It can be read as a standalone but has additional stories with secondary characters coming soon. Also has HEA, no cliffhanger!

2. HE NEEDED A HERO
After a life-changing injury sends him home and ends his career; Josh agrees to temporarily move in with Alvin and Carter (from book 1), Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, learning to walk again with his brand new prosthesis, takes some time to adjust. When the small and broken man from the cafe run’s into him by accident, it leads to a run-in that Josh is ashamed of the second he leaves.

Teddy is the small, broken cafe worker that accidentally runs into the big, brooding man with the cane. With an embarrassing and painful encounter between the two and an abusive uncle furthering said injury; its just the way things go in "The Life Of Teddy Valentine."
Feeling guilty for the way he snapped at the small guy; Josh decides to pay him another visit taking Carter with his as a buffer. One thing leads to another and the hits just keep on coming for Teddy. Will it be enough drama for Josh to throw in the towel or will Teddy end up finding his hero?

*This book does contain strong language and sexual situations between men* You’re welcome 😉

3. SHOW ME ANOTHER WAY
The boys are back with all of their heart break and shenanigans!

Kevin and Lane…Where to start….
We meet both of them through our mutual friends Alvin and Teddy from books 1 & 2.

Kevin is a family and adoption attorney in his small Massachusetts town. Content with his life as a loner, he does his bit to help families have a better life because he, himself, didn’t have a great one. Awkward and painfully shy; he doesn’t know what to do with himself when he catches the eye of firefighter and all around great guy, Lane Bennett…..

Lane Bennett works with Alvin at their community’s fire station. Being around all his loved up friends and their partners; he’s still a little bitter about the betrayal of catching his ex-fiancé in bed with another man. That is… until he sets his sights on the shy, timid, quiet attorney that helped his good friend Teddy.

Just when their relationship gets off the ground; Lane’s troubled sister comes to visit with some baggage that anyone would be hesitant to take on; let alone someone in a new relationship. Will Kevin and Lane stick together and give each other the type of love they both crave or will it be too much to handle, too early on for either of them?

This story contains graphic language and sexual situations between two men. (You’re welcome) I’m also feel strongly against cliffhangers and I’m a sucker for a good HEA. Enjoy!

4. THE ONLY THING I NEED
Jordan is a new member of "The House"; the transitional housing unit where our previous hero’s: Alvin and Josh work. Once a housemate and now an employee; Jordan still suffers from PTSD, nightmares and flashbacks from being held captive and tortured oversea’s. He thinks he’s beating them back and getting better, until one thing after another proves they’re getting worse.

Enter: first grade teacher, Lincoln. Short and a little bit overweight; his self-esteem was almost non-existent. After a terrible date with the new guy from Alvin’s fire station; it makes for a couple uncomfortable encounters- one so embarrassing, he has no choice but to run away, (Since the ground didn’t open up and swallow him whole.)

Back to Jordan, who didn’t like the way things went down after he witnessed the bad date turned ugly, and from his very brief encounters with Lincoln; he wants to see more of him.

With lots of friends, some pretty serious flashbacks and one seriously bad date; will these two fella’s find the strengths in each other are strong enough to hold on. or will their dreams be better left in the dark?

This is a m/m romance with hints of violence and flashbacks that may be a trigger for some readers. Also; there are no cliffhanger and has a very happy ending!
