He’d fallen rapidly in love with DeShawn, but they seemed to be growing further apart every day they were together, and he doesn’t know how to fix that. Danny is a live ghost that separates them as DeShawn clings to his unrequited love. Eli also sees that DeShawn’s past has come back to haunt him, but he’s helpless to do anything to help other than offer his love and support. That isn’t enough it seems because DeShawn’s struggles continue to worsen and it appears that neither of them will ever see the light of love again.
Then Eli meets someone new. The chemistry between them is immediate and electric. He finds himself tempted to stray. He resists; which turns out to be a good thing since the man he is lusting after is all wrong for him. JJ Ellington couldn’t possibly be more unavailable. He’s straight. He’s a professional football player. And worst of all he’s happily married with two kids. Eli is neither a cheater nor a homewrecker, so he’s left to evaluate his failing relationship with DeShawn.
