Overview: Bill James arrives in Sundown to take on the role of sheriff after his predecessor is brutally murdered.
As Bill takes in the towns atmosphere, which is a world away from previous towns he has served, he begins to feel optimistic about his future and even as a passing bird relieves itself on Bills waistcoat, his spirits are not dampened.
However, Bill is blissfully unaware of a feud which is about to boil over between Blackwater Industries, owned by millionaire Jack Blackwater and the Apaches, led by the fearsome Chief Eskadi.
Eskadi is forced to take revenge and in turn releases a curse which will cause the dead to rise and the living to be turned.
Bill, along with the help of his hard drinking deputy Ken Murphy, will battle outlaws, Apaches and zombies in a bid to save the town of Sundown.
