Cowboy from the Future:

But Addy’s also the only person in town who doesn’t ostracize him for his Voltyn heritage. Descended from genetically-engineered soldiers, Cade’s people are feared and hated by the humans. Addy doesn’t seem to know that, though. Soon, she’s moving into one of the rooms above his bar and whipping his screwed-up brothers into shape. And driving him crazy with her bright smiles. …And getting him chased by an angry posse.
Against his better judgment, Cade agrees to help Adeline find her way back to this mysterious “Why ‘o Ming” place. But, when Addy’s knowledge of the past puts her life in danger, not even wild Ghaa beasts can stop Cade from riding to the rescue. He isn’t sure where the little lunatic comes from, but deep down he knows that she only belongs with him.

Scotlyn Summerline was having a bad day even before the zombies attacked. Her diet was blown, her credit cards were all maxed out, and she was working the nightshift at a sleazy miniature golf course in Las Vegas. Now, the two of them are stuck with Zeke’s overprotective “brother,” a wiseass vampire who likes nail polish, her megalomaniacal boyfriend/ kidnapper, and a shape shifter in a trucker hat. No matter what it takes, though, Zeke’s determined to get Scotlyn to safety…. And convince her that he’s exactly the kind of shape shifter a nice girl needs at the end of the world.
