Overview: J.R. Karlsson is the author of "Escana", the eponymous first volume in an ever-evolving epic fantasy series. He also writes a sword and sorcery compendium known as "El-Vador’s Travels" set in the same universe and a science fiction comedy series called "The Extraordinary Adventures of Phil Jones" He started writing fantasy at the tender age of nine after being introduced to a battered paperback copy of ‘The Hobbit’ by a school cafeteria lady. When not writing or re-writing his self-published works, J.R. divides his time between the /r/fantasy subreddit, reading obscure fantasy, playing computer games, practicing yoga, cooking a mean soup and avoiding children at all cost.

The Extraordinary Adventures of Phil Jones:
A wise man once stated that space was a very big place indeed, this is of course subjective. Space is as space does and when you’re being chased across the galaxy by a Voravian battle cruiser it can seem rather small. When Star Command is threatened by an incoming invasion of ghastly aggressors known as Voravians, it falls upon one man to save humanity. Sadly it is not the bombastic leader of the fleet, the heroic Captain Darwin of the SCC Scavanger.
