#8 – The Admiral’s Daughter
Thomas Kydd and Nicholas Renzi return to England in 1803 after tumultuous episodes on the other side of the world, only to find England in peril of starvation and bankruptcy. Kydd is placed back in command of his beloved vessel Teazer, but he barely has time to prep her for the sea before he is sent on an urgent mission. Smugglers, enemy privateers, and treacherous sea conditions await Kydd on his journey to northern France on the eve of war, but equally worrisome events are occurring ashore. When a growing attachment to the admiral’s daughter curbs Kydd’s blissful reunion with Teazer, he is forced to make a terrible decision that may cause the end of his friendship with Renzi—or the end of his naval career.

#17 – Inferno
Copenhagen Harbor is on fire . . . 1807. Captain Sir Thomas Kydd resumes command of Tyger and is ordered to join a great armada on a desperate mission to pressure the Danish Crown Prince to turn his fleet over to Britain before Napoleon has the opportunity to seize it. On a parallel mission Nicholas Renzi—the Lord Farndon, also Kydd’s best friend and brother-in-law—fails in an effort at using diplomacy to persuade the Danes to give up their fleet to Britain for the duration of the war. Neutral Denmark now controls the straits through which the entire Baltic trade passes and the French army is mustering at her borders. If the Napoleon manages to take control of the Danish navy—France’s already-considerable naval forces may allow him to invade the English mainland and achieve hegemony over all of Europe. A fiery inferno—the Second Battle of Copenhagen—ensues.

#18 – Persephone
1807: An old passion is reawakened when Captain Sir Thomas Kydd meets Persephone Lockwood, a beautiful and determined admiral’s daughter from his past. To win her hand, he must enter the highest echelons of London society. Mixing with aristocracy and royalty brings other responsibilities. The Prince of Wales asks him to take temporary command of the Royal Yacht. Sailing to Yarmouth, Kydd realises they are being stalked by French privateers. The terrible threat sees Kydd call on daring seamanship of the highest order.
