Overview: This is the call to a new reformation for those searching for a belief system that accommodates reality as it is when their faith in organized religion no longer works. This could be something big, really, really big. Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come. Theofatalism – Feel good inside no matter what happens outside. Here are some emboldening thoughts by way of introduction.
A New Image of God.
During his last papal audience, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI observed that the Church faced such challenges it appeared that, "there were times when the Lord seemed to be sleeping." What if God is not sleeping but actually is the cause of all events all over the world — including the whole universe? Jesus said, "My father is always at his work to this very day…" (John 5:17) He may have rested on the seventh day of creation, but he did not quit.
What if the image of God as the ever loving father-like Santa Claus is a mistake at the least and a fraud at worst? Faith-based religion that promises health, wealth, and happiness is both irrelevant and impotent in facing the real issues of life and death. When disasters occur, you need a belief system to explain reality. Suppose a new reformation could help you feel good inside no matter what happens outside, regardless of how challenging life becomes? Would you be interested?
If you don’t believe in God, what if God makes atheists too? The Bible says, "You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book! (Psalm 139:16). It is God who directs the lives of his creatures; everyone’s life is in his hand/power." (Job 12:10) It seems like that includes agnostics and atheists too, plus all the religions and political systems on earth.
Everyone is assigned to a spot on the bell curve of life and they will do whatever it takes, albeit subconsciously, to occupy it whether it is a mansion, office cubicle, a hospital room or prison cell. You don’t have to search for your purpose in life because you cannot avoid it — even if you believe it is all under your own control, which it isn’t.
This issue may be of little concern unless you have been taught to rely upon faith in God for all the good things in life, while all the bad things come from another source — perhaps Satan, the devil or even your own sinful free will. But, what if belief in free will is an illusion — necessary though it may be — and neither you nor Satan has any control or power not granted by God? In fact, without belief in God’s will the whole universe makes no sense, but with it the universe becomes a holy order. With faith no proof is needed, and without faith no proof is sufficient. All in God’s will of course.
This is not the god of the Bible or the Quran but the Generator, Operator, Destroyer — GOD — the triune controller of birth, life, and death of everything in the universe from insects to galaxies. If God is the only source and prime force of all then this would have to be so, otherwise there would have to be two prime sources, one for construction and one for destruction, the necessary opposites.
You see, sheeple have been deluded into thinking God is a spiritual person only good and full of love while they — who are his creations — are evil and rebellious with free will to disobey. But the creation speaks otherwise of a triune force for birth, life, and death.
Churches have fooled sheeple by leaving out the D part — Destroyer — so they are not ready to receive the evidence for this conclusion. It is there scattered in scriptures, and history and daily news events, but sheeple are blindfolded to this reality because it would be like staring at the sun, and only a very few have special eyes to see it because the shock would be too great for fragile human egos, which are made for control and revenge and assumed immortality.
