The Writing on the Wall: We are the guests by Aharon Gonik
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 2.7MB
Overview: Quo Vadis Mankind
The Homo Sapiens whose skeletons were discovered 200,000 years ago in Africa, according to the author are cancerous mutation with large brains, who unlike other creatures in Nature needing to adapt to its changes in order to survive, managed to bend Nature to his needs and which have spread throughout the world.
So far, due to progress in sanitation and medicine, Man has managed to overcome all immune systems that evolution has developed. However since Nature’s evolution is more than two billion years old, there is no doubt that it will prevail. The extent of Nature’s balancing power reaction will be subject to the extent of Man’s abuse.
In the past three hundred years, there has been dramatic development in Humanity’s standard of living, and we would like to keep it so. Is it possible? Our well-being depends on energy supply, thanks to this energy, all our life systems function. Without this, everything we have ever developed for space, air, oceans and land – would be lost. The energy consumption trends, according to experts, will exhaust within 100 years. This means that a newborn baby’s children will ‘drive back’ through the tunnel of time to Medieval Times – horses and carriages.
This book offers solutions, energy conservation planning extension for two centuries and as a byproduct, a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions.
North America is the biggest energy consumer (per capita). Melting glaciers and devastating hurricanes on the East Coast are the result of mega punishing ventilators cooling down heated oceans. Firesome storms on the West Coast balance out the hurricanes. Horrible firestorms ‘bend the knees’ of another big polluter (fivefold more than average per capita) – Australia.
A reviewer of one of my previous books called me an ‘alarmist’. However, it is not me who is the alarmist, but Nature (Dallas is freezing and Siberia is heating 35 degrees c’) and those who are not aware are simply deaf or blind and in denial. ‘The Writing on the Wall’ is clearly present.
About fifteen years ago, I was introduced to Al Gores, (Bill Clinton’s Vice President) campaigning against global warming. He devoted his time and connections predominantly trying to persuade world leaders to believe that Humanity is in danger because of global warming. Frankly, what contribution could I make, if the great Al Gore failed, despite his efforts and status? Nevertheless, I decided to write this book as a wakeup call, for after the predicted disaster, when people will say, “What a shame we hadn’t listened!”
Nature is our eternal host, it provide us with all our needs. Clean air to breath, water, food, energy resources, the sun for heating and wind to cool down. One do not expect from guests to demolish the tables and dishes and to spread waste allover. We must acknowledge and appreciate that we are the temporary guests.
The book is dealing with the problems of Humanity. Humanity is a falsely term adopted by people, and it is very far from the truth. There is nothing humane about causing damages, polluting the environment, melting the glaciers, damaging the corals and the fish, and making mountains of litter and plastic. Man is the most dangerous and destructive predator in Nature, my goal is to convince my kind to reduce to minimum the acts of abusing Nature, because there is no doubt that the day will come “the bells are ringing” when Nature will revenge.
This is the Inconvenient and sad truth.
