Overview: When I was a child my mother kept a black suitcase in our basement. She forbade me to look inside. Of course as we all know the way to spark a child’s curiosity is to tell them they are forbidden to do or see a particular thing. One afternoon when my mother was out, I raced down stairs. Nobody was around so I opened the suitcase. Inside I found pictures and letters in a foreign language. Later that night I asked my mother what all of it meant. She told me that she was trying to protect me by keeping the suitcase out of my reach, but since I’d found it I might as well know that she and my father both lost their entire extended families in the Holocaust. So began my obsession with the Nazi occupation of Eastern Europe. Being that my father was Romany and my mother was Jewish, I had many aspects to research and much to learn. Finally, many years later…I wrote my first novel. It is set in this period. It comes to you, along with all of my work, from my heart, with love and hopes that someday there will be understanding and tolerance among all peoples. I thank you so much for your interest in my writing.

The Wrath Of Eden (#1)
Deep in them Appalachian hills, far from the main roads where the cityfied people come and go. lies a harsh world where a man’s character is all he can rightly claim as his own. This here is a land of deep dark coal mines where a miner ain’t certain when he ventures into the belly of the mountain whether he will ever see daylight again. From this beautiful yet dangerous country where folks is folks, and even to this very day they still tell tales of the Robin Hood like outlaw Pretty Boy Floyd even though there ain’t no such thing as a thousand dollar bill no more, comes a story as old as time itself…a tale of good and evil of right and wrong and the legend of a troubled man who walked a perilous path on his journey back to God… The Wrath of Eden begins in 1917, in the fictious town of Mudwater Creek, West Virginia. Mudwater lies deep in mining country in the Appalachian Mountains. Here, the eldest son of a snake handling preacher, Cyrus Hunt, is emotionally broken by what he believes is his father’s favoritism towards his brother, Aiden. Cyrus is so hurt by what he believes is his father’s lack of love for him, that he runs away from home to seek his fortune. Not only will he fight in the great war, but he will return to America and then ramble around the United States for several years, right through the great depression. While on his journey Cyrus will encounter a multitude of colorful characters and from each he will learn more about himself. This is a tale of good and evil, of brother against brother, of the intricate web of family, and of love, lost and found again.

The Angel’s Song (#2)
Cyrus Hunt returns home to the Appalachian mountains after years of traveling. He has learned a great deal about himself from his journey and he realizes that the time has come to make peace with his brother and his past. When he arrives in the small town where he grew up he finds that he has a granddaughter that he never knew existed, and she almost the same age as his daughter. The two girls grow up as close as sisters. But one is more beautiful than a star filled night sky, while the other has a physical condition that keeps her from spreading her wings and discovering her own self-worth. As the girls grow into women the love they have for each other is constantly tested by sibling rivalry, codependency, and betrayals. Are these two decedents of Cyrus Hunt destined to repeat their father’s mistakes? Or will they rise above their human weakness and inadequacies and honor the bonds of blood and family that unite them?
