1. The Winter Sniper – November 30th, 1939 INVADED by the Soviet Union!
Finland must mount a desperate defense against overwhelming odds. Outnumbered and outclassed, the world expected the tiny Nordic nation to quickly succumb to the Communist juggernaut. Instead the saga of David versus Goliath was reimagined into Finnish farmers and woodsmen standing firm against Soviet steel.
This is the story of Hale’s war, a young man who grew up farming, and hunting the frozen forest of his northern home. Taught from a young age by his father to hunt and trap, Hale has grown into a master woodsman. Not yet eighteen summers in age, he is most at home in the wilderness. Utilizing his gifts, especially his uncanny aim with a rifle, he has helped put food on the table and to earn a living by selling valuable pelts
When invasion threatened, he put his growing love for Nea on hold and answered his nation’s desperate call to stem the Soviet hordes. Now alone in Finland’s vast southern forest, his skills are being tested against prey of a different kind. Will his abilities and the rifle his father gave him be enough against the countless numbers, tanks, and aircraft of the Soviet Union?

2. Against The Commissar – INVADED by four Soviet armies, and outnumbered more than ten to one by the world’s best equipped modern military, the Finnish Army is in big trouble. Can the Finns stop the Red Army, once they fall back to the Mannerheim Line? Or will the Soviet Bear continue to push on into the heart of the small Nordic Nation and put an end to their freedom under the unforgiving boot of Communism?
TRAPPED between the Soviet’s Union’s 19th Rifle Corps and the Commissar’s pursuing forces, Hale must lead the surviving members of his family on a desperate quest. His mission, lead his family through thousands of enemy soldiers to safety behind Finnish lines. Success means survival for his family, and returning to the task his deceased commander assigned him, stopping the invader.
Hale’s goal, the Finnish line, is being pushed further and further away as the invading juggernaut drives deeper into his homeland. With hope fading, he will receive help from an unexpected quarter. Will it be enough to save Hale and those he holds dearest, or will they be lost amidst the carnage of Karelia? At stake, the lives of his mother, sister, wife, and unborn child. Failure means the loss of those he holds dearest and possibly the entire country.

4. Suomassalmi – The sleepy village of Suomassalmi, Pekka’s hometown, is key to controlling Central Finland. The otherwise unremarkable village, home to several lumber mills sits astride a pivotal crossroads. Critical to the Soviet invasion plan, the town is the first step on the road to Oulu and cutting Finland in half.
With the 163rd Rifle Division already in possession of the town, the situation for Finland is grim. Attempting to seal Finland’s fate, the Soviet Union has dispatched the elite 44th Motorized Rifle Division. These fresh reinforcements, ten thousand strong, are moving to link up with the 163rd via the Raate Road.
Standing in the way of two full Soviet divisions is the Finnish 27th Regiment. When the 27th’s officer core is devastated during a failed attempt to retake the town, Pekka and Kivi are dispatched to replace two of the 27th’s recently fallen heroes. Will this be a bittersweet homecoming for Pekka or will he once again pull a rabbit out of his hat in the face of hopeless odds?
Nea, unsure whether she is a widow and a single mom, has found safety amongst the people of Helsinki. She finds the people of Finland’s most populous city to be both kind and generous but longs for news of her husband. When danger looms from above, will she be able to keep herself, Aina, and the unborn life growing within her safe?
Meanwhile Hale, remaining in Karelia, has come full circle. Once again alone in the vast frozen forests of Southern Finland, can he survive against harrowing odds and find his way to the Mannerheim Line? Standing in his way is an army over one hundred thousand strong including the only man to have ever defeated him in battle.
Will the remnants of the special operations group survive these challenges or will long odds and the overwhelming forces of the Red Army reign supreme?
