Deep down Benji knows why the marshes are empty. The sense of loss is everywhere. But while that loss consumes the people above the marshes, power is growing under the water. Something moves beneath the earth.
Meanwhile, the group know Sunne is pursuing them. A terrifying assassin had been released, and tensions run high in the swamps. The friends have a long way to go, and many dangers to face, but only if they don’t kill each other first!
