Overview: Philip Henry is from Ballymoney, Co. Antrim , Northern Ireland originally. He also lived in Barnsley, South Yorkshire for a spell, then Coleraine for a long time and is now living in Portstewart on the North Coast. He worked in AVX in Coleraine (a multi-layered ceramic capacitor factory) when he came back from college, then the Civil Service for a while, then as a porter at the Causeway Hospital. While studying Performing Arts at Causeway Institute (Ballymoney), he wrote a few sketches, which were pretty bad. Then at college he wrote a few short stories, which were also pretty bad. He started writing Vampire Dawn when he worked in AVX and finished it when he was made redundant.
