The Universe Rotation: Pro and Contra by Myrzakulov Ratbay

Overview: An international team of researchers at the initiative of Professor L.M. Chechin has ventured for the first time to prepare a special monograph on the Universe rotation problem. In it this problem is present in a sufficiently wide context, and includes the reasoning in the observational and theoretical aspects.
Observational base primarily relate to trends on the rotational moments of galaxies alignment along a certain direction.
Theoretical bases include vacuum concept model of the Universe and some of its closest generalizations as anisotropic models of Bianchi type, models with torsion, as well as the new quantum-mechanical model of the Universe.
The issue about rotates of our Universe or not, is not only the subject of modern cosmology, but also of modern scientific worldview. Indeed, if the Universe does not rotate, it must be preserve the classical Newton-Copernican view of the world – the Universe is homogeneous, isotropic, static and deanthropomorphic. The modern standard cosmological model based on the principles of general relativity theory, made a significant step towards the generalization of the classical model – it overcame her deanthropomorphic and static nature, but preserved the Universe homogeneous and isotropic.
It is obvious that further generalization should concern the development of non-homogeneous and anisotropic models. Indeed, one of the most important trends of modern cosmology is the refusal from the isotropic Universe model. Among the various physical causes of anisotropy, as we believe, is the rotation of the Universe. So working out of the rotating Universe models becomes a necessary stage in the development of modern cosmology.
Concerning issue of the Universe rotation, and understanding the ambiguous today’s answers on it we present two opposing views – pro and contra. The deal is that both of them have the deep philosophical base. For example, if the Universe does not rotate, then why observational data indicate a violation of the cosmological principle? If the Universe rotates, then it rotates relative to what – vacuum, other universes; how does the axis of rotation oriented in the space, etc.
