Overview: My name is Kevin Culp, author of the series, The Trials of a Modern Paladin. I have always been a huge fan of tabletop games and probably couldn’t even list all of them I’ve ever played, though like most people Dungeons and Dragons has been the one I’ve played the longest and most consistently. Much of that time I have spent as the Dungeon Master, and I have always enjoyed weaving intricate stories and unique characters to watch my players battle against the limits of my imagination. Writing is as much a joy to me as watching players battle the big bad guy that I have created and built them up to, and I hope to see people enjoy reading it just as much.

That is exactly what happens to our protagonist, William Shawcro in the first installment of The Trials of a Modern Paladin.
William is an ordinary young man living an ordinary life when out of nowhere he finds himself in the body of his long-time character Archaeus in this isekai style fantasy story. Forced to play the role of Archaeus and act within his Paladin code, he must navigate this shocking new world of magic all the while questioning whether it’s just a dream. He quickly realizes the life may not be all it’s cracked up to be after facing frightening conflicts and becoming entangled in this new world’s politics. While he is quite overpowered having made it to level 20, brute force can’t resolve some situations. Archaeus makes new friends and new enemies during his travels, but will he ever find his way back home? All he can do is keep pushing forward and discover the truth of why he is here.
Volume 2
William Shawcro has spent the last several months in the body of his level 20 Paladin character, Archaeus Alexander Velnir. Still coming to terms with being in this strange new world and living life as his long-time tabletop character, he quickly finds that his adventures are just beginning. Things are looking up as the town he is charged with begins to grow, and he has acquired several new protégés, but all that changes when his new home comes under attack.
Even with the might of an OP epic-level character, not everything comes easy. Keeping his people safe while still knowing little about this new world is still a challenge that he must meet head-on. As William does his best to meet these challenges, it leads him to learn that there may be more going on in this world than he originally expected and playing Archaeus in real life is much different than with dice and paper.
